Our journey began with humble origins, driven by a deep love for chai, which blossomed through numerous travels across India and Sri Lanka. We discovered a world of rich flavors, vibrant spices, and heartwarming traditions, experiencing chai in all its forms—from street vendors to upscale tea houses.

Our Story

During our travels, we fell in love with the complex flavors of chai. Whether sipping from a roadside stall in India or savoring chai in a famous tea lounge in Sri Lanka, each cup had a story, a history steeped in tradition. However, when we returned to Toronto, we found it difficult to recreate these experiences. This gap in authentic chai culture inspired us to create Mantra Chai, which allowed us to share the flavors we cherished with fellow chai enthusiasts.
